Themes

There are many ways to summarize the journals, filtering them through themes and trends. They traversed through many subjects like dating, family, marriage, sex, success, truth, politics, and religion. However, the true subjects and themes of the journals were often kept hidden. Personal views were disguised as methods of demonstrating meaning, or the lack thereof. I'm going to try to recall the way these tricks and outlines worked, and combine them with the little stories I can recall. As the stories were tools of distraction, remembering them is a lot easier in the context of these plays on language.
